Global social networking giant Facebook is increasingly deploying Dark Mode to its own apps, allowing it to support iOS and iPad OS capabilities along with other instant messaging software, media reported. The introduction of dark mode in the main Facebook app has been very slow. Since iOS 13 was released, Facebook Lite, WhatsApp, Instagram and Facebook Messenger apps have gained dark mode, but facebook has been slow to move on.
On Friday, Facebook’s social media today confirmed that the dark model has been officially launched, but that “only a small number of users worldwide can use it.” However, Facebook is rolling out the feature in the coming weeks at the pace of previous deployments.
Once the user gets dark mode, they can configure it on Facebook’s main menu, and click on the Dark Mode option in Settings and Privacy. In this menu, users can choose to enable or disable the dark look, or make it match the appearance of iOS, including automatically changing for sunrise and sunset.
