Tesla CEO Musk said on social media today that the company receives the least subsidies compared to other U.S. automakers. Musk’s comments were a move to a video. In the video, the host says some Americans “hate” Tesla because it receives government subsidies, and some Americans hate it.

Mr Musk said Tesla received the least subsidies than other US carmakers. The federal tax credit applies to electric vehicles made by other manufacturers, but not teslas.

Previously, Tesla consumers were entitled to a federal tax credit of $1,875, a policy that actually lowered the price of Tesla cars, but the policy ended at the end of 2019. From January 1, the U.S. government will no longer impose tax credits on Tesla’s customers.
