Following the KX-6000 series x86 processor won the “Shanghai Design 100 plus” awards, The china’s Zhaoxin CPU recently won the 2020 global “Silicon 100” award, becoming one of the eight Chinese enterprises listed , this is the third time Zhaoxin is on the Chinese IC Design Achievement Award award stage.
According to officials, the China IC Design Achievement Award has been held for 19 consecutive years and is one of the most important technical awards in China’s electronics industry.
Silicon 100, formerly known as Silicon 60, is a list of the world’s 100 most interesting companies, selected by EE Times, ASPENCORE’s authoritative industry media, covering the entire semiconductor industry, from mature analog/digital hybrid circuit design sourcing into the new quantum computing and artificial intelligence-specific chip designs, reflecting the technological capabilities and market impact of the companies on the list.
This is the third time that Zhaoxin has been on the stage for the China IC Design Achievement Award, and in 2017 and 2019, Zhaoxin has won the “Greater China IC Design Achievement Award of the Year” award twice, and the CPU research and development team won the “China Outstanding IC Design Team” award in 2019 for its outstanding performance in the First ZX-C and Kai-KX-6000 series processors.
In terms of floating-point performance, the MX-U6780A can reach 72% of the i5-7400 because 3DMark did not open up too much.
Integer performance is a bright spot, KX-U6780A than i5-7400 is about 6% better, which still considers the CPU-Z test also involves some floating-point operation.
