AMD APU processors have been very high-level. At present, the Renoir family’s Ryzen 4000U, Ryzen 4000H series in the notebook, for the desktop Ofan 4000G series is also about to be born, the first time to achieve 8 core 16 threads.
Renoir’s successor, Cezanne, or The Ryzen 5000U/H/G series, will upgrade the CPU architecture to a new generation of Zen 3, although the manufacturing process is still 7nm, GPU Graphics Core confirms the continuation of the Vega architecture, but is expected to be similar to Renoir in the display, multimedia and other aspects of further strengthening, or even do not rule out continuing to increase frequency, or re-expand the core size.
Cezanne is still in the early stages of the A0-step version, and it’s not expected to be released until early next year at CES 2021, according to AMD’ pace.
If you don’t like vega GPUs, don’t worry too much about Cezanne for the last time.
In the ultra-low power space, “Van Gogh” will replace the code name Dali’s Dragon 3000U series, or the Staton 4000U series, the first integration of RDNA Navi GPU core, while from 14nm, Zen architecture to 7nm Zen 2 architecture, the progress is very large, but compared to the high-performance APU words in the CPU is still a step behind.
