The Google Pixel 5 XL has just surfaced online, and its suspected exposure of a transparent case gives us an idea of its design. The images, which were exposed by themedia Slashleaks, show the Google Pixel 5 XL still have a post-based fingerprint scanner. Because a circle is cut on the back of the case, it is positioned in a similar location to a previous generation, such as the Pixel 3 XL. In addition, the Pixel 5 XL still appears to have a 3.5mm headphone jack, which is now rare in the high-end segment.
It should be noted that the Pixel 5 XL regression is unlikely, given that the Pixel 4 XL has been cut off.
Previous reports have suggested that the latest Google Pixel 5 series lacks the flagship Chipdragon 865 in favor of the Snapdragon 765G because of rising costs. In addition, the release cycle (usually around October) may have been postponed due to a persistent coronavirus pandemic.
As a new member of the Pixel family, Google’s Pixel 5 XL will support the 5G network, the first 5G phone under Google.
