As we’ve previously reported, The Verge reporter Tom Warren has reported that the low-end Sub-Times Xbox will feature the same CPU as the XSX, with 7.5G available memory and a 4TF GPU. Today (June 30), Tom Warren tweeted again that the Low Edition SEp Xbox has a faster CPU than the PS5 and supports light chase.
Tom Warren, a reporter for The Verge, tweeted: ‘To tell those who are looking forward to the low-end version of the Next Age Xbox “Lockhart” players, “Lockhart” has a faster CPU than the PS5, “Lockhart” will support light chase, and game developers have been developing PC games for decades for multiple GPUs.”
So far, Microsoft hasn’t announced the low-key version of the next-time Xbox “Lockhart”, but interestingly, it’s mentioned in the release notes for Microsoft’s latest game development kit. There are rumours that Lockhart will be a digital-only console that will sell for half the Xbox Series X (the XS X is said to cost $400, so Lockhart could be around $200). At the same time, there are rumors that Microsoft will make up for the cost of next-generation consoles by increasing game sales and increasing subscriptions.
