While the Extreme Racing series offers a wealth of personalized customization options, Microsoft has announced that it will not use “infamous” tags, such as Confederate flag-style paint, in games. The software giant has updated its guidelines, according to a tweet on Friday by the @Forza_Support. Any player who continues to use such a pattern thereafter will face a “zero tolerance policy”.
In addition to the 1969 Confederate flag on the back of the Dodge Charger, the Nazi symbol and the military flag symbol of Japanese imperialism have also caused strong controversy. Although Microsoft does not automatically block these players, the original designer must submit a report description.
Now even the real-life car is no longer covered with controversial paint. Bubba Watson, the owner and professional golfer, said it had been removed in 2015.
