According tomedia reports, we are quite certain that Nissan is preparing an electric SUV based on its concept car Ariya, which will be on display at the 2019 Tokyo Motor Show. In the middle of last month, the Japanese carmaker announced that the Ariya’s production version would debut in July, and now we have confirmed july 15 thinly to be the exact date for the electric car.
The company posted the news on social media, and shared a video of the car. The production version of the Ariya looks basically like the concept version, with cool LED headlights, full-width strips (tail), orange/copper colors giving people the feel of the first generation of Infiniti FX.
We don’t know anything else about the car, but given Nissan’s current financial situation, we can make some assumptions. Ariya will adopt a more popular version of the LeafPlus drive system, and the range may be less due to the aerodynamics of the crossover. It will also likely also come with Nissan’s latest ProPilot kit, and finally, its new “Shield Grill” is likely to be the front-facing design of future Nissan electric cars.
