Microsoft launched its new Windows 10 start menu for Windows 10 Insiders last week on the development channel, but unfortunately for many, the feature is part of the A/B test, meaning many are still stuck on the old look. Fortunately for more aggressive hackers on Windows 10 Build 20161, there is a way to activate selectively enabled features, using the simple steps below that require tools created by Albacore and Raphael Rivera.
To activate the new Start menu:
Download ViveTool here and unzip it into the folder of your choice.
Now start the command line as an administrator.
Now enter the path of your decompression tool. This looks like this: C: users, users, downloads, ViveTool-v0.2.0
Enter the following command on the command line of administrator status: ViVeTool.exe addconfig 23615618 2
Restart your PC
The new start menu should now be activated
