According tomedia reports, someone recently discovered the figure of The Mi TV Stick in Geekbench and Google Play Console, which seems to hint at the company’s upcoming streaming device product. Over the past month, there has been a lot of talk about the product, and recently Global Express has discovered a related retail division.
While Xiaomi hasn’t officially released the product yet, one thing is certain from recent information on Google Play Console and Geekbench — Mi TV Stick will support up to 1080p or Full HD resolution.
According to 9o5 Google, the news about Google’s certification and Geekbench list was released via Android TV Guide (@androidtv_rumor). The Full HD version of Mi TV Stick is reportedly codenamed aquaman and is modeled ausP0. In addition, according to Geekbench, it is thought to use Amlogic S805Y SoC, which has a maximum support resolution of 1080p.
The news was later confirmed by a tweet from Android TV Guide, which shared a picture of a Google Play Console list that clearly showed How SoC was used. Another rumormentioned model is the MiTV-ANSP0, which may use the Amlogic S905X3 SoC, which means the device will support 4K resolution.
The fact that the product has been certified by Google suggests that it is not far from officially released. In addition, Mi TV Stick’s launch on the online shopping platform Global Express is a testimony to this point.
