Microsoft has confirmed that the first-party game launch of the Xbox Series X will be held on July 24th, with Halo: Infinity coming out and rumours that “Ghostbusters 4” will also be on the show. But according to Tom Warren, a well-known editor and journalist at The Verge, the new host will not be announced at the launch.
Daniel Ahmad, senior analyst at Niko Partners, conducted a mock poll on Twitter, asking if the price of the Xbox Series X would be announced at the 24th launch, while the option gave “2 Nos”, apparently suggesting that the new console price would not be announced at the launch.
Tom Warren, the famous editor and journalist at The Verge, later replied that the Xbox Series X price would not be announced, only the lineup of the (first party) game.
If Microsoft doesn’t announce prices in July, it’s likely to be announced in August. The opening night of the 2020 Cologne Game will be held at the end of August. It remains to be seen whether Sony will follow in Microsoft’s footsteps and announce the price of the PS5 at the same time.
