Now, Apple appears to be launching a new promotion that will give users who previously unsubscribed from Apple News Plus another month of free use.

The promotion comes ahead of Apple’s possible launch of the Apple News Plus Audio section. It is reported that the version was rumored in May, and later found in iOS 13.5.5 beta icons confirmed this.

In late June, the New York Times announced that it was pulling out of Apple News because the platform offered little direct relationship sourbalties to its readers and little control over the business.

Apple announced on its latest earnings conference call that Apple News has 125 million users — including the app’s free service users and Apple News Plus subscribers.
