According to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), COVID-19 is mainly transmitted through respiratory droplets from coughing, sneezing or speaking by infected people. These droplets can fall in someone else’s mouth or nose or are sucked into the lungs. The CDC recommends that people wear cloth masks when they are in public, especially when other social isolation measures are not possible, to avoid the spread of the new coronavirus.
