Microsoft plans to introduce WPF support for Windows 10 on ARM by 2021

In addition to announcing the porting of OpenJDK to Windows 10 on ARM, Microsoft also announced that it will introduce support for WPF for Windows 10 on ARM in 2021. Microsoft says WPF is now an important part of the developer ecosystem and platform team under the Windows platform. This transition aligns WinUI with the WPF framework and moves forward together.

Another good news is that Microsoft is planning to hire more resources to further develop WPF for .NET 5:

Our team’s management has approved the additional resource requirements for this project. However, the global COVID-19 pandemic has led to slower hiring than usual. With the existing resources of the current team, the above road map is our commitment to plan and complete for the foreseeable future. Once we are able to actively expand the allocation of resources to the team, please continue to follow our schedule and/or investment updates.
