New emojis on Android 11 include new animals such as bison, beavers and polar bears, as well as food and drinks such as Mexican cornmeal steamed meat, pearl milk tea and teapot. You’ll also find a slightly smiling face, two hugs, a man in a veil, a woman in a tuxedo and an emoji of a baby-feeding man. Some of the animal emojis of the past have been redesigned, some to look friendlier and some to look better in dark mode.

It is not clear when Android 11 will be available. Google’s demo to developers earlier this month appeared to suggest it would be September 8, but Google did not provide confirmation that it was true. Last year’s launch of Android 10 was in early September.
