On July 17th Guo Ming錤, an analyst at Tianfeng International, said Apple would launch a new 10.8-inch iPad Air in the second half of the year, with the new iPad configuration upgraded and cheaper than the current iPad model. The latest report shows that Apple’s upstream industry chain will offer the next-generation iPad in the third quarter, and the next iPad will continue to follow the iPhone SE’s product strategy at a lower price than the current $499 price for the iPad Air, the report said.
It has previously been reported that the next-generation iPad Air’s mold will be built using the cash 11-inch iPad Pro, meaning it could be replaced with a narrow bezel design, a larger screen size, and even the introduction of a Face ID component. At the same time, the Lightning Lightning interface will be removed and upgraded to USB-C.
The current iPad Air is equipped with the A12 Bionic chip, while the new iPad Air will replace the A13 processor. While Apple has dominated the tablet market, cheaper prices will make it more attractive.
