The leaked firmware from Samsung’s Galaxy Z Flip earlier suggested that the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 would solve one of the biggest problems of the previous generation – the outside screen was too small. Now, a new marketing rendering released by Ice Universe appears to confirm yesterday’s report, which clearly shows that the outer screen will now continue to the edge, while the selfie camera will now be a punching camera.
The image also shows that the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 will feature the same camera set as the Note 20 (rather than laser autofocus like the Note 20 Ultra). In addition, the machine’s internal screen is clearly not as old as the Galaxy Foldnotch.
The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 is largely in line with Samsung’s Galaxy Fold launch as a sophisticated phone with the most advanced technology available today. Max Weinbach, from XDA-Developers, revealed yesterday that the alaxy Z Fold 2 outer screen will have a 25:9 aspect ratio, which means it will fill most of the front area with the smallest border, and the inside and outside screens will bring a punching camera.
He also revealed that the outside screen acts as a viewfinder for the main camera, which means that the owner can immediately start taking pictures without turning on the phone, and that the main camera can be used to take selfies while using the outside screen as a viewfinder.
