On the evening of July 21st, AMD officially released the new Ryzen 4000G, Staton 3000G series, as well as The Ryzen PRO 4000G, Staton PRO 3000G series processor – you have been crushing for a long time 7nm Zen2 APU finally arrived! AMD’s product line is very complete, including the Ryzen 4000G, Staton 3000G series for the consumer market, and the Ryzen PRO 4000G and Statron PRO 3000G series for the commercial market.
In terms of basic hardware specifications, the non-PRO version, PRO version corresponding models are exactly the same, but the latter supports AMD PRO series of commercial technology, in terms of security, manageability, business reliability, more suitable for the work environment more demanding enterprise environment.
Before introducing the detailed models and specifications, let’s talk about some of AMD’s changes in product positioning and market strategy.
This time, AMD’s strategy is to launch the Ryzen PRO series, fully supplied to SI (system integrator). With the benefits of its products, the Ryzen PRO series allows SI to create a wide range of high-performance, energy-efficient models that meet the needs of both the consumer and commercial markets.
In other words, AMD this time is not satisfied with the DIY market has achieved advantages and achievements, but has a higher and deeper pursuit, in the whole machine field to open up new world.
The so-called SI (system integrator), simply said is to be able to be very flexible according to the market and user needs, targeted to form a variety of PC system brand manufacturers.
Compared with traditional OEM manufacturers, they can be said to be extremely close to the market, the market demand is very keen, but also very close to customers, and not only to meet DIY users, but also has been widely penetrated into the business, industrial control, finance and other professional fields, is a new force that can influence the market pattern.
In the domestic market, there are a lot of active SI, climbing, Ningmei, dragon, famous dragon hall, Wuji, Jingtian and so on is a typical brand of DIY consumer users. Their products are very suitable for those who are not satisfied with OEM machine is not flexible enough, DIY saving machine is not enough friendly user groups, regardless of design, configuration or price are through the user psychology and pursuit, so these years are very hot, AMD in this focus on the “ambition” is obvious.
Ryzen 4000G, Staton 3000G series has 9 different models, from high-end to entry-level full coverage, the highest end is Ryzen 7 4700G, 8 core 16 threads, main frequency 3.6-4.4G Hz, Second-Level Cache 4MB, Level 3 Cache 8MB, Integrated Vega 8 GPU, 512 Stream Processors, 2.1GHz, memory support dual-channel DDR4-3200, overall thermal design power consumption of only 65W.
Ryzen 5 4600G 6 Core 12 Threads, Main Frequency 3.7-4.2GHz, Second Cache 3MB, Vega 7 GPU, Frequency 1900MHz.
Ryzen 3 4300G 4 Core 12 Threads, Main Frequency 3.8-4.0GHz, Second Cache 2MB, Third Cache 4MB, Vega 6, GPU 1700MHz.
Ryzen 7 4700GE, Ryzen 5 4600GE, Ryzen 3 4300GE is the corresponding energy-saving version of the model, thermal design power consumption is only 35W, and the specification sacrifice is very small, CPU reference frequency is reduced by only 300-500MHz, the highest acceleration frequency reduction of 100MHz or unchanged GPU frequency is completely unchanged!
The Dragon section has three models, the Dragon Gold 3150G 4 Core 4 thread, the main frequency 3.9GHz (no support for acceleration), the second-tier cache 2MB, the third-level cache 4MB, the integrated Radeon GPU (the specific specifications are not disclosed), and the thermal design power consumption is 65W.
The Stathlon Gold 3150GE frequency drops to 3.8GHz, while the other constant, thermal design power consumption is only 35W.
The Dragon Silver 3050GE is also a 35W low-power version, 2 core 4 threads, main frequency 3.4GHz, second-level cache 2MB, 3MB of third-level cache.
From the specificationpoint, the stroller 3000G series can easily crush Pentium gold medal, Celeron series, the latter’s highest only 2 core 4 threads, the main frequency is not more than 3.9GHz, UHD nuclear display is not worth mentioning.
Staton PRO 4000G, Staton PRO 3000G series is also 9 models, the number has changed, but the basic parameters and non-PRO version is the same, specifically, The Ryzen 7 PRO 4750G/4750GE, Ryzen 5 PRO 4650G/4650GE, Ryzen 3 PRO 4350G/4350GE, Staton Gold PRO 3150G/3150GE, Athlon Silver PRO 3125GE.
It is worth mentioning that this is also the first time in the history of AMD APU processor breakthrough 4 core 8 threads, one shot to 8 core 16 threads, of course, such specifications are now only the mainstream level, after all, Ryzen CPU has done 16 core 32 threads.
Of course, the PRO series supports AMD PRO commercial technology, with the standard Intel vPRO Bore, including:
– AMD PRO security: Built-in multi-layered security features, independent security coprocessors, support system-wide memory encryption, help protect sensitive data.
– AMD PRO Manageability: Simplify deployment, imaging, and management that are compatible with your current infrastructure.
– AMD PRO Business Reliability: 18 months of software stability support, 24 months of continuous product supply support.
– AMD Memory Guard: Full yviter of memory helps prevent physical attacks on sensitive data.
In terms of competition, Ryzen 7/5/3 4000G series are facing the standard nine generations and 10 generations of Core i7/i5/i3 series, in the core number, main frequency, cache capacity, GPU level, thermal design power consumption is no less, which is also its ability to win SI, OEM highly favored, the original order was directly robbed of the root cause.
AMD Ryzen 4000G, Staton 3000G series processors are expected to be available in the third quarter of 2020, including Lenovo, HP and other OEM partners will launch the corresponding machine products.
AMD Ryzen PRO 4000, Staton PRO 3000G series processors will be launched on July 21, 2020, by the system integrators to launch the corresponding machine products, OEM-related models will also be launched this fall.
Among them, Lenovo will launch thinkCenter M75t, M75s, M75q and other new commercial PCs this fall.
