Delfast three-wheeled electric vehicle frame design has been completed: ready for manufacturing.

According tomedia reports, some people who follow the Ukrainian company Delfast must know that its long-distance, powerful electric bikes, such as record-holder Prime, partners focused on business, and so on, announced in April that it would expand its scope to tricycles. Now that the framework design for this travel tool has been completed, engineers are preparing for manufacturing.

Delfast electric tricycles are targeted at small and medium-sized businesses, which are looking for a more environmentally friendly way to transport goods in cities. The project is supported by the USAID Econom SInproject project. The engineer’s sketch in April quickly became computer-aided design, and prototyping began.

It is understood that the rear of the car has a modular cargo platform, can be used to transport goods or people, the maximum load of about 300 kg. Equipped with a 750W brushless rear motor, the tricycle has a maximum throttle speed of 42 km/h in the United States and a maximum throttle speed of 25 km/h in Europe, with a range of up to 100 km per charge.

At present, the 3D model of the electric tricycle has been completed and the main material has been selected for the 2500 mm frame after durability simulation. It’s steel, which is cheaper, more malleable and easier to obtain than lighter but more brittle aluminum. In addition, the tricycle has a variety of color options.

As for the manufacturing schedule, the company has not yet announced, but design documents show that the company is currently preparing to create manufacturing facilities and mechanical templates, so people may not have to wait too long to welcome a photo of the first prototype.
