AMD shares outnumber Intel.

AMD shares closed at $57 on Wednesday at $61.79 and Intel shares opened at $60.70 at $61.05. This may be the first time in history that AMD’s share price has surpassed Intel’s, although the revenue and market capitalisation are still far from that, with AMD’s market capitalization $72.3 billion, Intel’s $258.4 billion and Intel more than three times AMD’s.

Just as Nvito’s market capitalisation exceeds Intel’s, the volatility in its share price is symbolic, but AMD’s past five years have been a miracle, with its share price at just $2 five years ago, on the verge of bankruptcy, and now capable of challenging the chip giant in all its aspects. AMD recently announced that the Ryzen 4000 Series Desktop APU (integrated GPU) based on the Zen 2 architecture, and the Zen 3-based Ryzen 4000 Series Desktop CPU, will be released later this year.
