Samsung launched its new smartwatch, the Galaxy Watch Active 2, in August, and now it has decided to introduce some of its features to its previous models. Samsung announced today that it has ported many of the user experiences of the Galaxy Watch Active 2 to the original Galaxy Watch and Galaxy Watch Active. These UX features will be released gradually by region through software updates.
In this software update, some improvements have been made to The Bixby Voice Assistant. Samsung says smartwatch users can make more “full use” of Bixby voice assistants. In addition, Bixby has expanded its support for German, French, Italian, Spanish and British English.
Perhaps the most exciting part of this update is the new dial customizations that are included. Samsung says 24 new small dials and sophisticated features have been added to the Galaxy Watch family, with the Galaxy Watch and Galaxy Watch Active getting my Style from the Galaxy Watch Active 2.
Many Ux have also been adjusted in this update. While these applications are still in use, the application icon will now fall at the bottom of the dial, and both the stopwatch application and the call screen will display the clock. Galaxy Watch Active users will also get a new touch-border interface, and Samsung Health has added features such as Daily Active Fitness Goals, tracking laps and low heart rate alerts, apparently a very big update this time.
