In an age of social distance, Fox is studying how to get fans to “stand in the stands” for MLB games, media reported. In a tweet released Thursday, the company showed a video of virtual fans appearing in the stands. As you can see, these spectators can put on their support for the team, cheer, boo and even wave.
“We’ve made up our minds to make the show as authentic and natural as possible without an audience.” Brad Zager, executive vice president of Fox Sports, told the New York Post.
It is reported that the virtual fans will participate in Saturday’s first game – the New York Yankees and Washington Nationals game.
