Honda is the first manufacturer in the world to offer Apple CarPlay on motorcycles, media reported. While this may not be a big deal for those already in the automotive world, Honda’s Gold Wing support for CarPlay is memorable. After the Gold Wing, Honda brought it to The Africa Twin and looks set to roll it out to more models.
Now that Apple CarPlay is supported, what about Google’s Android Auto? It doesn’t look like a problem. Previously, Honda had announced that the Gold Wing would be the first motorcycle to integrate the Android Auto, and now it is available free of charge to all Gold Wing drivers.
Generally speaking, unlike the of a car, a motorcycle must be simple, otherwise it is too easy to distract the driver, which is obviously a very dangerous thing. But Honda has found a way to integrate four-wheeled infotainment into two-wheeled vehicles. Not only is it relatively easy to use, but it does not attract the driver’s eyes or attention.
As with the CarPlay setting, you must have a third-party Bluetooth communication device in addition to your phone if you want to install Android Auto on The Gold Wing.
It is important to note that this feature is only compatible with Android 5.0 or later phones.
