Google’s Nearby Sharing feature is similar to Apple’s AirDrop feature, allowing users to share files between devices through Chrome. Now this feature is finally on the Windows chrome browser.

Google has been working to introduce this feature to Chrome on Windows, Mac, Linux and Chromebook devices. You need to use the “Nearby Sharing” feature on the Windows platform through Chrome.

You’ll need to enable “Nearby Sharing” Flag in your Chrome browser and restart your browser.

Use a Bluetooth-enabled PC, Pixel smartphone, or ChromeBook.

To use this feature, the device must be activated to be unlocked and within 1 foot.

If you want to share files with Chromebooks by using this feature, make sure that Chromebook enables “Nearby Sharing” in Quick Settings.
