According tomedia reports, American Airlines (AA) passengers have a new in-flight entertainment option that allows them to watch Apple TV plus for free from the passenger’s mobile device and seat backscreen screen during the flight. On Saturday, local time, the airline quietly added the service option. It is reported that the Apple TV Plus on U.S. flights can be used not only through the existing in-flight entertainment system built on board, but also through a mobile device that you carry with you.
It is reported that the on-board system pre-loaded many of Apple’s original programs, including:
The Morning Show.
For All Mankind.
Home Before Dark.
Mythic Quest: Raven’s Banquet.
Oprah’s Book Club.
Snoopy in Space.
The same service is available on iPhones, iPads or other mobile devices on flights with Internet access. However, passengers must install the AA app on their device or access aainflight.com through a browser to establish a connection.
Whether or not they subscribe to the Apple TV Plus service, they receive Apple TV Plus content for free.
The new service is a continuation of American Airlines’ partnership with Apple in in-flight entertainment. Last year, passengers were able to listen to Apple Music on American Airlines flights.
