Samsung’s Galaxy Fit 2 fitness device has appeared on several certification sites, including the FCC, but so far we only know the model of the wearable device, the SM-R220. However, 91mobiles has now found a list of Indonesian telecoms websites for the fitness ring, which has confirmed that the sM-R220’s fitness bracelet will indeed be called the Samsung Galaxy Fit2. Unfortunately, the list doesn’t reveal any other information about the upcoming wearable, but given that it’s already available on multiple certification sites, we can expect samsung Galaxy Fit 2 to be available soon.
The FCC list of Galaxy Fit2 found by The Verge is the most detailed of all certifications available. The list includes a diagram of a wearable device showing the complete design of the heart rate sensor and fitness tracker. The new Galaxy Fit 2 will follow in the footsteps of the original Galaxy Fit, which was launched last year. The original Samsung Galaxy Fit features a 0.95-inch full-color AMOLED display. It runs FreeRTOS and has 2MB of memory. 32MB ROM is available on the device. This fitness belt comes with a heart rate sensor, accelerometer and gyroscope. It can track various activities such as walking, running and cycling. Samsung Galaxy Fit comes with automatic exercise tracking that tracks up to 6 activities by default. It’s worth noting that the Galaxy Fit also has sleep tracking to analyze your sleep patterns.
The fitness belt also connects to your phone and pushes notifications about incoming voice and messages. This tracker has a Bluetooth v5.0 connection and a battery capacity of 120mAh.
