Boon, Apple Pay’s European partner, announced it would close its service in October.

Digital Banking services and Apple Pay’s European partner Boon announced Monday local time that the service will close in October 2020,media reported. Boon has been a partner of Apple Pay since 2016, offering contactless payment options and virtual credit cards in several European countries. The company announced in a post on Twitter that it would stop service from October 3, 2020.

Boon’s announcement follows a series of financial scandals filed by Its parent company Wirecard, Reuters reported.

Boon advises users to spend all their cash by October 3. Although users can request withdrawals after the service is closed, Boon charges users with existing credit cards on a monthly basis. It also turns off auto-recharge.
