After installing the Windows 10 May 2019 feature update (Version 1903), some users reported that unacknowledged BUGS hid the DelayEd Update setting option. In addition to the option to pause updates, Windows Update’s advanced options provide the Option to Choose when to install updates, allowing users to set their own delay days for feature updates and quality updates.

But on the Microsoft support community, Reddit and Twitter platforms, there have been a number of user feedbacks about BUGS that exist in the Windows 10 May 2019 update, resulting in the complete disappearance of the option dialog box for feature updates and quality update delays.

One Reddit user wrote.

There was a very strange BUG in the delay setting for v1903 (I can actually see the feature update delay days setting, but no quality update delay setting). You can choose to set it once, but after you do so, these settings in the GUI will disappear completely. You can fix it manually by editing the registry key, but I don’t know why it hasn’t been patched yet.

Another user feedback

I dropped the update delay settings in the setup application, only to set them up using group policy under “Management Templates; Windows Components; Windows Update sgt; Windows Update for Business.” I prefer to change these key parameters in the registry.

This has been one of the most frustrating errors in Windows 10 1903, but it seems that Microsoft has finally deployed this fix. According to our own tests and reports, the error has been fixed in Windows 10 KB4524570 (Patch Tuesday Update). The fix obviously also applies to the November 2019 update.
