Sony today (August 4) released its first-quarter 2020 results, and according to Bloomberg articles, Sony now plans to release new news for the PS5 console this month. Sony’s next PS5 announcement is scheduled for this month, according to Bloomberg’s “Informer”, without revealing the exact price of the PS5 console, with two versions of the PS5 console, a Blu-ray-driven version and an optical drive-free version.
Macquarie Capital analyst Damian Thong thinks the PS5 console is about $500, while the non-optical drive version will be priced at $400. He also predicts that by the end of March next year, the PS5 host will sell 6 million units.
Given that Sony has not yet made any official announcement, this information is for informational purposes only, but it is certain that Sony’s “State of Play” program will return at 4 a.m. Beijing time on Friday, August 7, with a focus on the upcoming new games of PS4 and PS VR, and a quick look at third-party and standalone games on display at the June PS5 launch, without the release of PS5.
