Microsoft’s gaming studio unveiled several new works at the X019 conference, such as Rare’s new IP Everwild, the developer of “The Sea of Thieves” and the new “Grounded” for obsidian development. There’s also a new book, Tell Me Why, from third-party partner Dontnod Entertainment. In an interview withmedia outlet Windows Central, Matt Booty, head of Xbox Gaming Studios, hinted that more game news would be announced in addition to the games, which could in fact be made public before the end of the year.
“With Xbox Scarlett coming up, xCloud starting to pick up and Game Pass growing, I think this is the best time for us to start developing games at full power and make sure all studios are developing new games,” Booty toldmedia. I think all the studios are ready.
We have a number of unannounced projects that we haven’t even discussed, especially in our distribution department. We’ve got Halo, which is in deep development, to debut with the new Xbox Scarlett. All of our studios are developing next-generation works. I think you’ll see more news before the end of the year, some of which we haven’t discussed.”
Although Booty didn’t announce where the new news would come from, it’s almost certain to guess what should be at the tGA awards ceremony at the end of the year. The TGA Awards will begin at 9:30 bsteon on December 13, Beijing time.
