According to Paul Thurrott’s latest tweet, several Microsoft MVPs (most valuable experts) have been invited to an online Surface briefing. The online event, which takes off on August 12th, is most likely aimed at Surface Duo.
Although too many details are not disclosed at this time, this point in time is very subtle. According to current rumors, Surface Duo is expected to go on sale on August 24, 12 days after the online event. And since the OUTBREAK OF THE COVID-19 means that Microsoft won’t have a face-to-face event, such a virtual launch would be the best way to introduce the device to Microsoft’s most valuable professionals.
Previously, Microsoft invited Surface Fans to offline media events before releasing Surface Laptop 3 and Surface Pro 7. So this again signals the coming of Surface Duo.
