Classic model auctions always attract attention, especially for which celebrities are driving. A former Aston Martin sports car owned by the British royal family, Vanquish, is set to be unveiled at the Silverstone auction,media reported. Although the auction information does not mention which member of the royal family ever drove the car, Prince Charles is known to be a fan of Aston Martin.
It’s worth noting that in December, a 1994 Aston Martin Virage by Prince Charles sold for $309,000.
Vanquish was born in 2001 as a classic sports car owned by Aston Martin and appeared as Bond’s driver in the 007 series. The car is powered by a 6.0L V12 engine with a maximum power of 460 horsepower, a total of 4.7 seconds and a speed of up to 306km/h.
The Vanquish, which was bought by the British royal family in 2003 and remains in place until 2016, has been maintained for 17 years, with a range of just 16,707km (26,887km).
It is reported that the British Silverstone auction will be held this week, the current Vanquish starting price of 62,000 pounds (about 567,000 yuan).
