Lucid Air, the brand’s first mass-produced car, has a range of 442 miles, according to a video released recently by Lucid Motors, silicon Valley’s start-up electric car. Unfortunately, officials have not announced what range is measured under the range, but given that the u.S. standard is EPA, it is likely that the range will be measured according to EPA standards.

For reference, the optimized Tesla Model S EPA has reached 402 miles (647km), which means the Lucid Air will most likely surpass the Model S’s range.

Lucid Air has such excellent range of cash, thanks to its rich aerodynamic design.

According to previous official stoush, Lucid Air has a wind resistance coefficient of only 0.21, making it the lowest in the world and the world’s most energy-efficient mass-produced luxury pure electric car.

Lucid said they used both the Mercedes-Benz A-Class and BMW 5-Series Dynamics aerodynamics in their Air design, breaking the previous record of 0.22 minimum drag coefficient held by the two.

In terms of power, the Lucid Air’s entry-level model will feature a motor with a maximum power of 406 horsepower, while its top-of-the-range model will feature a 1013 hp motor with a 0-100km/h acceleration time of just 2.5 seconds.

It is reported that the new car is expected to start delivery in 2021, has not yet announced the price.
