According tomedia reports, NPR , citing unnamed direct participants, reported that TikTok could file a federal lawsuit as early as Tuesday challenging President Donald Trump’s executive order banning video-sharing services in the United States. The lawsuit will be filed in U.S. District Court for the Southern District of California, where TikTok’s U.S. operations are based, the person said.
The lawsuit argues that the president’s actions were unconstitutional because it did not give the company a chance to respond.
The lawsuit also claims that the U.S. government cited national security grounds in the executive order is groundless, people familiar with the matter said.
The White House declined to comment on the expected lawsuit, but defended the president’s executive order.
