Samsung has confirmed that the Galaxy Z Fold 2 does not support S Pen stylus input. But that doesn’t mean the South Korean phone giant is not actively testing the feature on high-end collapsible phones. In his latest @Chun a prototype of the Galaxy Z Fold 2, revealing some of the features of the S Pen, the sources said.
According to the tweet, the Galaxy Z Fold 2 prototype is S Pen-supported, and several different pen types are available at the bottom, as well as several sizes. One possible reason the Galaxy Z Fold 2 doesn’t support S Pen is that the foldable flagship glass isn’t durable enough.
Of course, Samsung uses Gorilla GlassVictus on the Galaxy Z Fold 2’s smaller display, and ultra-thin glass technology on the larger home screen, but larger panels are likely to be unable to withstand the pressure of the S-Pen pointer, which could puncture the screen in a short period of time and repeat samsung’s original Galaxy Fold.
