Apple shared the first trailer for the upcoming Apple TV plus spy thriller “Tehran” later in September,media reported. Apple took the copyright to the spy series back in June, telling the story of an Israeli Mossad agent and hacker on a secret mission in Tehran.
Apple has ordered eight episodes of Tehran, with the first three episodes to premiere on Friday, September 25. The remaining five episodes air every Friday.
Israeli actress Niv Sultan, best known for “Flawless,” will play lead character Tamar Rabinyan. Shaun Toub, who has appeared in Iron Man, and David Negahban, who has appeared in Homeland Security, will also star. Cineflix Rights and Israel’s Kan 11 will co-produce the play with Apple.
The series will join Apple’s premium streaming service to offer a growing number of original shows and movies exclusively.
