Japan’s JDI and Panasonic sued Tianma Microelectronics in the United States over the LCD panel patent.

Japanese display companies JDI and Panasonic are suing Chinese panel maker Tianma Microelectronics (Ssing Tianma A) in U.S. District Court over LCD panel patents,media reported. JDI and Panasonic filed an indictment in U.S. District Court in Edgware, involving nine patents jointly owned by JDI and Panasonic and six patents from JDI. JDI and Panasonic allege patent infringement in technologies related to LCD panel quality, such as perspective and image contrast.
