For windows 10 May 2020 (20H1/Version 2004) feature updates, Microsoft today introduced an optional update, KB4571744, that was previously delayed. Optional updates are designed to be tested by IT professionals, but consumers can also download installations on productivity devices. Because it is an optional update, the user is not forced to install it.

After installing the optional update KB4571744, the system version number rose to Build 19041.488. The optional update was originally scheduled to go online on August 18, but for unknown reasons Microsoft decided to postpone the optional update until the first week of September.
Windows 10 Build 19041.488 has been updated so much that it has led to a long list of fixes. For example, Microsoft says it has fixed an issue that might prevent users from reducing the size of their app windows on certain configurations. Microsoft also noted that it has finally enabled support for Dolby Atmos for Headphones and DTS Headphones: X in Windows 10 systems.
The company has resolved an issue with Windows Update that may become unsys response when checking for updates. Similarly, Microsoft is fixing a problem that causes File Explorer to stop working when you save RAW images and browse their directories.
Other improvements are bundled with this release, including improved tablet experience for convertible or hybrid devices, enhanced Windows Hello registration pages, and fixing an annoying issue that could increase load times for some applications.
