In integrating the messaging platform, Facebook is planning to introduce a feature that will allow users to see Instagram Stories directly on Facebook’s main app, media Neowin reported. The feature, which appears to be being tested, was discovered by @ec_wife Friday. Later, @MattNavarra confirmed this to Facebook’s technology communications manager.
To make the feature work, users must link to their Facebook and Instagram accounts and choose to join the experience. This feature is expected to respect all existing privacy settings, and Stories owners can choose whether they want their content to be cross-application. It’s not clear if this is a one-time choice or if it needs to be for each Story. In addition, content owners will have access to all statistics on Instagram itself, including who browsed Stories and replies.
