Recently, AMD added support for 400-series chipsets such as the X470 and B450 for the StoreMI V2. Previously, storeMI V2 supported only the X570, X399, and TRX40 platforms. According to officials, StoreMI is a powerful tool for computer enthusiasts that reduces load/startup times, improves file management, and accelerates system response times, and the software is now completely free.
Simply put, StoreMI is a storage tiered solution that allows you to combine SSDs and HDDs (or slower SSDs with faster SSDs) into a virtual drive, which is most important for PC environments that use small-capacity SSDs and high-capacity HDDs.
Compared to V1, V2 solves data security problems well by transferring to the cache system, which copies all data from slower drives to faster drives, and has two copies of any data in the SSD. Although this reduces the storage capacity of the StoreMI virtual partition, if the StoreMI virtual partition is corrupted, the solution can bounce back because there will still be a copy of the data on the slower disk.
