If you’re following Tesla’s latest Cybertruck, you might notice a picture showing a Cybertruck for camping. Whether it’s a preview of Tesla’s product or whether the company is just trying to expand its thinking on Cybertuck’s versatility is unknown, but it’s definitely cool. Now, the company’s CEO, Elon Musk, has put an end to speculation that tesla’s camper van will go on sale.
Musk confirmed the news on Twitter.
One user asked Musk on Twitter if the camper was an auto accessory they could buy. Musk gave an “yes” answer.
It’s clear that Tesla’s rendering is unlikely to be the final version of the Cybertruck camper van, as its camping section and rear box design don’t fit exactly to the back slope of the sharp wedge ingot, so it ultimately has to be custom-made.
Tesla’s initial rendering doesn’t seem to need to be overly complicated, but it’s believed that the car’s more complete camping and amenities will probably attract more wealthy, technology-obsessed users. Adding an induction cooker, refrigerator/freezer, control/entertainment tablet, stereo and/or other electronic accessories will help highlight the benefits of camping on a huge lithium-ion battery and may also popularize the concept of electric vehicle camping. And “party and camping mode” may become the most popular mode.
