There are many patents involving 5G, but the SEP is a standard, necessary patent, meaning that it is indispensable, can not be bypassed, such high-value 5G patents are the key, is the key to measure a country and the strength of enterprises in 5G patents.

In addition, as of March 2019, 25 companies had disclosed the necessary patents for more than 13,000 ethnic 5G standards, with Huawei accounting for 20%, ranking first among the world’s enterprises, according to statistics from the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Economic and Information Administration.

PS: The above data should be in March, in fact, in June’s latest list of 5G SEP patents, Huawei declared the number of 5G SEP patents as high as 2160, far higher than other manufacturers, the second Nokia 5G SEP patents of 1516, the third is ZTE ZTE, The 1424 SEP patents are very close to Nokia’s level.

Further down, LG and Samsung, the two companies declared 1359, 1353 SEP patents, Ericsson also has 1058 SEP patent statements.
