The new Chromecast adds a remote control and a new Google TV interface for $49.

Google’s latest home products, including brand new Chromecast with Google TV and Nest Audio speakers, were released tonight with the latest Pixel phones at its Launch Night In event. Google first showed off its Chromecast and Google TV. The new streaming device features a small TV stick-like design that plugs directly into the TV’s HDMI interface, like the old Chromecast. This product is unique in its new bright color design and the included remote control.

The modified product still works the same way as older Chromecast devices, but the software has been upgraded to support the new Chromecast voice remote control. Users can access the content by talking directly to the remote control and asking about the movie by type or actor.

The remote control is small, simple in design and has physical buttons at the top for navigation. If that sounds familiar, it’s because it works exactly the same way as Apple TV’s Siri remote control. Google seems to want to compete more directly with Apple and Amazon’s set-top boxes with this updated product.

Chromecast with Google TV is available in three colors: Snow, Sky and Sunrise, and costs just $50.
