Google today tweaked its Google Play Movies and TV app after announcing that daydream, the VR platform, was out of support. Perhaps the app’s name was a bit lengthy, and Google redesigned the app and renamed it Google TV.

Google TV is currently lying online in the Play Market mall, with the app description:

Note: The Google TV app is currently only available for Android mobile phones and tablet devices in the U.S.

Over the next few weeks, Play Movies and TV on Android Mobile and Tablet devices in the U.S. will be upgraded to the Google TV app. You’ll see a new user experience that includes app icons, LOGo, and names.

When you upgrade to Google TV, your favorite features don’t go away. All the movies and shows you’ve purchased before can be found in the Library tab in the new Google TV app, and you can still watch your content in the Play and Movies and TV app on compatible iOS, streaming, or smart TV devices.

The Google TV app, formerly Play Movies and TV, makes it easy to find and enjoy your favorite entertainment in one place.
