Sony Mobile has launched the Open Devices program since 2015, allowing specific models of Xperia phones to try the latest by unlocking Bootloader and providing AOSP (Android Open Source Project) code Android, also allows developers to transform their own ROM. Sony, on the other hand, recently expanded its open Devices program to announce the official addition of the Xperia 5 to the Open Devices program.
Bootloader officially opens, Sony Xperia 5 joins Open Devices program
Sony’s official website has officially announced that The Bootloader can be unlocked by Xperia 5 from now on, and Sony also offers teaching on its official website about AOSP to assist developers in modifying or developing their own custom ROMs. Sony also uploads The AOSP Build code from Xperia 5 to Github, where developers can synchronize and compile.
In addition to the new Xperia 5, Sony 2019 model for the Open Devices project includes the Xperia 1, Xperia 10, and Xperia 10 Plus.
