Despite the flexible OLED panel, the Pixel 5 is not equipped with an off-screen fingerprint sensor, and Google didn’t mention much of the details at the launch. In fact, Google didn’t mention that the Pixel 5 features off-screen front speakers, except that it doesn’t emphasize that the flagship model’s symmetrical border design provides a near-pure immersive experience.
While this improvement is not particularly large, it further improves the positive experience of the Pixel 5. Google tagged each component of the Pixel 5, according to a diagram shared by Reddit users.
According to the picture, the front-facing front camera is perforated on the left side of the body, while in the middle there are two under-screen openings with distance/ambient light sensors on top and a large circle at the bottom representing the top speaker. Google may be using a ballelized speaker that vibrates the display to produce sound. Depending on the quality of the speakers, the evaluater notes that in some cases, the audio quality is better.
