Mozilla recently introduced two new add-on identities for Firefox to help users quickly find extensions made or certified by Mozilla. The “certified” is designed with a green frame and a solid green white hook on the left, indicating that the app is Mozilla certified. Another is “Out of Firefox,” with Firefox’s LOGO on the left side of the pill.

“Launched by Firefox” indicates that the extension was launched by Mozilla and provides Firefox with new products, unique features, and a pure experience, according to the official Mozilla support document. This extension is subject to rigorous security and policy review.

“Certified” indicates that these extensions, developed by third-party developers, have passed stringent security and policy reviews. Developers of these certified extensions are charged a fee for the code they submit for review. These extensions appear on AMO’s home page and other locations.
