Windows 10 version 1709 will end on October 13.

Microsoft has issued a reminder to users who are still running Windows 10 Fall Creators Update (Version 1709) Enterprise and Education on their devices. The operating system will end support services next week, October 13, 2020, which means that you will not receive a security update on the device running version 1709.

Windows 10 version 1709 will end on October 13.

Microsoft writes:

The enterprise and educational versions of Windows 10,1709 will reach the end-of-service phase on October 13, 2020. After this date, devices running these versions of Windows 10 1709 will no longer receive security updates. We recommend that you update these devices to a supported version as soon as possible to continue receiving monthly updates with security and non-security fixes.

Next month, the October 2018 update to Windows 10 (version 1809) will also meet its end-of-service deadline, but this will affect the home, professional, and professional education versions of the operating system.

The Windows manufacturer has finalized the upcoming Windows 10 October 2020 update (version 20H2), which is scheduled for release later this month. However, we recommend that users upgrade to Windows 10 2020 update (version 2004), as Microsoft has resolved almost all post-release errors, making it the most stable version available. Even if you don’t want to upgrade right away, you can download and save one for later installation, as ISO files won’t be available directly from the authorities when the update is released in October 2020.
