Apple retail stores around the world are receiving shipments of new devices, most likely new iPad Air models, Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman reports. Mr Gurman said on Twitter that the new device had begun arriving at the Apple Store and was “open for sale later.” The new devices are likely to be the iPad Air, which will go on sale sometime in October, as the more high-profile iPhone is not yet available.
When the new iPad Air model was unveiled at Apple’s September 15 launch, no specific launch date was provided after October. Since the new iPad Air model uses the same A14 chip as the iPhone 12 series, Apple may have reservations to prevent the chip’s benchmarks and details from leaking out before the iPhone’s release.
But despite this, the A14 benchmark performance test results were leaked, so we at least know we can expect excellent performance from the new iPad Air and iPhone 12 series.
With shipments of the iPad Air arriving at retail stores and Apple trying to turn retail stores around the country into small logistics centers, we may see a large arrival of the iPad family after the Apple event on Tuesday, October 13.
