The company also said it did not install a new ATM kiosk in its Nevada superstation, but added Bitcoin sales through software to three ATMs already installed. In addition, the company’s website reveals that Tesla’s factory in Fremont also has a Bitcoin ATM.
Liberty X, meanwhile, has not confirmed whether it will install more digital currency ATMs at other Tesla plants.
Elon Musk, Tesla’s CEO, is a supporter of cryptocurrencies, and Bitcoin is the world’s largest cryptocurrency. Earlier, Musk praised Bitcoin’s structure as “excellent.”
Installing digital currency ATMs in Tesla’s superstation may just be the beginning of a coalition of digital currency and electric car makers. Musk may install Dogecoin ATMs if Bitcoin ATMs are popular. Musk, after all, is a big fan of the technology.
